    Recording Industry
    Pros:
It opens doors to not only the music recording field, but to many others such as: Gaming, Movies/Film, Television, Video, Broadcast/Radio, & Production. You can do lot's of Recording doing Sound FX for Movies or Gaming. Advertising is also a part of the Recording Industry. Coming up with different tracks, throwing add-ons can create a diverse of different techniques such as doing a one man band to producing your very own genres.

    Cons:
There aren't really any job opportunities out there for you unless you spend alot of time working and saving up for your own equipment but then you want to learn more about it but no one is willing to teach you. Plus there is nowhere you can go and be a 'second engineer' working with a top recording engineer on major label projects anymore... so there isn't anywhere you can really learn the craft from a Master. Maybe the worst of it is that you'll hate music. Recording band after band, mediocre ones at best, playing the same songs over and over, and you try to keep smiling as you do yet another overdub for the singer who can't sing or the player who can't play.

Is this a good fit for you?
I think its a great fit for me! because it can open doors for me later on when it comes to Recording a band or doing my own Projects. But then I also think that it can be addicting when it comes to Editing because you later want to change this to that because of whatever negative reasons so it can become comlicated later on.

    Music Industry
    Pros:
It sells compositions, recordings and performances of music. Among the many individuals and organizations that operate within the industry are the musicians who compose and perform the music; the companies and professionals who create and sell recorded music those that present live music performances professionals who assist musicians with their careers.
    Cons:
If you aren't that great of a musician, you probably won't have many opportunities. Especially if your not open minded and you hate the music your making but your just doing it for the money, it can create problems for the future and you would have to have an open mind towards all music genres.

Is this a good fit for you?
Yes, because most of all, I love music and I have a huge open mind and I wouldn't mind doing a variety of genre's when it comes to playing for a Pop artist, to Rock, to even Hip Hop/Rap.

    1. The name and brief description of the career option.
Recording industry- In the recording industry, you have the ability to master, mix and engineer in music, thus opening so many doors and windows, compared to music industry limiting your options when in the recording industry, you can learn about music sound and random audio sound waves as well to be able to make sound effects in movies, music and cartoons/animations.

    2. A summary of the pros and cons, personal traits necessary for success, entry-level requirements, etc.
The pro's to the recording industry would include the ability to master, mix and engineer any sound. Whether it's music, sound effects or both. There's lots of job opportunity for this too! In the movie, gaming, animation busnesses and more! Not to mention, even the music industry would take in a recording industry profession resume.
The Con's would be the learning process and how endless it may seem. So many waves to learn and so many techniques having to be memorized and so many processes and terms and etc.. So much work for it too.

    3. An examination of whether or not this career is a good fit.
I feel it might be a fit for me, only for the reason that I'm more interested in music. I've already learned plenty about clipping, low, mid's, high's and the other basics of music and music sound, however, I'm not into sound effects like hits, crashes, gun shots and so on. I don't know how long it would take and how creative I'd have to be with that. Although in music, you can create instruments and edit them to sound something else, like a hit on a hollow wall simulating a kick drum being an example, I wouldn't quite know how to simulate the hit on a caveman's head with a bat. But I'd still be interested for the main reason of mastering and engineering.

  3. Recording Industry

    Pros:
In the world of radio, film, or television, there are opportunities out there. Especially in audio books! Everyone needs their material mastered at some point. Mastering is where I would like to be. Everyone is looking for somebody to record. “the next big thing” is still today a way to spend money to make money.

    Cons:
Finding a job in the engineering field is hard to do as it relates to studio recording. Television is the best way to go right now especially in the churches. Everyone wants to broadcast everything so that’s where you can make some money that can spur you into something better. The talent is their but the investors aren’t. so you probably won’t get the best material to work with unless you’re working with professional or live performance musicians.

Is this a good fit for you?
I think it is! As a professional musician, I’ve caught a glimpse of light that hopefully will continue to inspire me to record my own projects or calab with many other professional musicians who already have something going for themselves in the music industry.

    Music Industry
    Pros:
Real Musicians who make real music love to perform live concerts and shows and will have the support behind them to continue to do so. They will sell more records form a live performance than just going into a studio and recording, I think it was designed to be that way back in the day.
    Cons:
Non- talented folk, will have it harder than most, especially if they aren’t true musicians or vocalist. It will cost more to break even for some and for others it will be harder to promote quality if they’re aren’t really of any professional quality. Plus you have to be it for the love of music and the experience of the journey rather than just to make money.

Is this a good fit for you?
Yes. Music is my life and I enjoy all genres of music because I’ve performed most of them live as a drummer. I love the creativity in hip hop music, but I feel than anything live is living and drum machines have no soul. But I do love to take hip hop music and flip into a better live verison instrumentation wise. I’m a musician and writer…..it’s my passion.
