This career is a good fit. If you love video games and have an imagination that can bring the game alive by creating different sounds to enhance the game image, go for it. This career needs allot of creativity and skills to make it.

Game Audio - Music Composition
A music composer is the one who makes the music for the video game.
Working in game audio as a music composer can be challenging and exhausting. You’ll have nightmare hours and incredible amounts of stress. However all the hard work can be rewarding.
This wouldn’t be a good fit for me because I wouldn’t be able to handle the crazy hours and stress this career has. Plus composing music doesn’t interest me much.

1. Gaming Audio Composition, which is in charge of the compositions/soundtrack choice, sound effects, just overall sound everywhere! Usually work in room and have almost the same job as movie sound industry but work with more automations and C++ programing.
2. A summary of the pros and cons, personal traits necessary for success, entry-level requirements, etc.
The pro's, to me, would be the ability to see gameplay before the game comes out, the fun in experimenting and playing with sound and to fun of working with automations.
The negatives feel like they would be the glitches in video games, the time necessities invested in the folly or the main compositions and the deadlines and the automation glitches and possible dead sound fx. Also, the amount of knowledge required like extra's that include C++.
I feel in order to do this job, I think you have to have at least some experience in sound engineering and manipulation, creativity and an ear for and towards sound, recording/mixing/mastering experience and lots of free time. And knowledge of programming would definately help.
3. An examination of whether or not this career is a good fit.
I do feel, so far, that this would be a good career for me. I love doing movie compositions and playing with automations and would be willing to give folly/sound effects a shot. It just all seems so exciting and awesome to play the game you made the music for. But I'd only fall behind on the computer programming, although, I wouldn't mind learning it.

1. The name and brief description of the career option.
Recording/Mix Engineer - creates multi-track recordings on sound whether its Recording, Editing, mixing, and Mastering.
2. A summary of the pros and cons, personal traits necessary for success, entry-level requirements, etc.
Pros: Makes about $30k-$70k a year. Having lot's of opportunities in the field whether it's Foley, or doing voice over, or even sound effects and music. Has lot's of time off after finishing a project. It's a pretty big stimulating and low-key environment.
Cons: It can be a very high stress environment and they are pretty big projects so your there for long periods of time on a chair doing a lot of recording. Then for a smaller company it can be very risky perhaps by losing against higher competition and slow business not picking up or the environment slow lacking of work.
3. An examination of whether or not this career is a good fit.
I believe this career is a good fit because to me I have lot's of patience and having to do a lot of sitting and recording time, you have to really fit those high standards and meet those qualifications. Because it's also a good pay and I really love recording music, noises, and love video games. Gaming Audio is perfect for me! Pretty much anywhere in the field.

1. The game audio industry involves everything that you hear when you are playing a game. This means that there are different jobs such as mixing, composing, and creating sounds (either from scratch or tweaking other sounds to make them sound the way that you want them to). There is a lot of work when working with game audio bcause the ablilty to caode and integrate into the game is required in order to make the sound work. This requires a lot of work and experience in encoding.
2. There are many pros and cons to working in this industry. Some of the pros is that it isn't straining work you will be working with something that you are passionate about and it wont be boring and dull. It also has a lot of room for creativity so you can express your thoughts and create something that will take your breath away. Some of the cons are that there is deadlines. You must complete your work on time in order for the project to be on its way to mass production. It also is hard to get to a high paying position. You will have to do a lot of hard work before you get to the point where you can let your creativity flow. This means that a lot of the entry level positions are internships where you do all of the boring work that everyone else doesn't want to do.
3. I think that this career is a good fit to anyone who sleeps, eats, and dreams video games. A real passion for this industry is required in able for you to get past the boring work. There isnt much composing when it comes to game audio and i love making music. So i think that this career is not for me.

1. The name and brief description of the career option.
Music composition game Audio – responsible for scoring music provided for game
2. A summary of the pros and cons, personal traits necessary for success, entry-level requirements
etc.
The pros- composing is a big deal with music majors. You can market you music through the medium of video game. Sometimes movies are made form the popularity of the game and this will make you more money if the music or theme song of the game is used. You have the copyrights as the wirter so you can ensure that you get paid.
Cons- Long hours away form the family if any. More work is required for less pay then the equivalent work you would do in a film. Finding musicians to give you the best performance recording is another cost sometimes at your own expense.
3. An examination of whether or not this career is a good fit.
Not really for me, I am a performer of music more than a writer. Composing is sometimes harder when you have to meet deadlines as opposed to finishing when you would like to.
